Some Siddha Home Remedies For Ear

Most of these remedies are in the drops form for external application and some are to be taken internally. Again these are for simple ailments like ear pain, ringing sound in the ears, pus in the ears etc. If symptoms persist it is always advisable to seek an expert’s help.

For ear pain, sounds in the ear etc, juice obtained from crushing 3-4 betel leaves are put into the ears using a dropper.

2-3 cloves of garlic and kuppaimeni leaves are crushed together and the juice thus obtained (3-4 drops) is put in the ears using a dropper. This also helps in the above problems.

2-3 garlic cloves and musumusukkai leaves (Bryonia Scaber) are crushed and the juice obtained is put in the ears. This helps in ear pain.

An oil preparation for earache.

Ginger juice 50 ml and induppu (rock salt) 25 gm are heated in linseed oil 250 ml, allowed to boil and then filtered and stored in bottle. Two drops are instilled in the ears using dropper cures most of ear problems like earache, itch in ears, ringing sounds etc.

Jasmine leaves and flowers are crushed together, the resultant juice is added to equal quantity of linseed oil and boiled. Allow this to cool and store in a bottle. Instill 3-4 drops of this to ears to stop discharge of pus from ears.

Abin (a derivative of ganja) is added to juice of onions and 3-4 drops are instilled into the ear for relief from pain.
